This DS 21 S is a stunning example of the model year -67, the special and only model year with the old front and the new LHM hydraulic oil system.

It was imported from Norway as a restoration project in 2011. It was completely disassembled and the chassis had been sandblasted. Rust repairs were done extensively at the rear of the chassis with many new details like luggage compartment floor, rear suspension and bumper brackets and parts of the C pillars. All welding was done by a welder with a great knowledge in the DS-models and has been made in the exact original way. The chassis was then treated with a linseed oil based product and painted with a rustproofing paint.

The engine is not the original but is a 21 IE-unit (DX3) with the cylinder head modified, which means that petrol is supplied by an electric pump. It was built completely from scratch with new pistons/liners, bearings etc. as well as a NOS Weber carburettor. The valve unit is noise free and the engine and gearbox run very well. The hydraulic tubing is new or original where it was in good condition, the steering and pump have been professionally restored and all spheres were renewed.

A new main wiring loom was supplied by ”Oldtimer electrique” in Germany.
The panels are all originals except for the boot lid, which is NOS.
The interior is of the typical DS non-Pallas kind; the seats were bought in Sweden and are original Rouge Cornaline with few signs of wear.
The colour combination chosen was Bleu d’Orient with the roof Gris Nacre.
The dashboard was sent to France to be wrinkle-painted in the correct colour.
The tyres fitted are Michelin XAS.

The restoration went on between 2011 and 2015 and was performed by an experienced Citroën-enthusiast (specialised in SM:s) in Scandinavia to become his private car. In 2015 the car was registered as a Swedish vehicle and now has a valid MoT.

The final result is a fantastic and rare example of a DS 21 S -67 in a beautiful colour combination!

It has not been used much in the years since, but has been going on a few trips to Norway and also around in Sweden on shorter trips. The car is now for sale (at an extremely good price) due to a new project.
