This wonderful DS was sold new by Åke Persson Bilaffär in Smedstorp (a well renown Citroën seller in south Sweden) on August 8th 1973 to Mr. Edgar Olsson. In 1979 the owner passed away and his widow sold the car back to Åke Perssons Bilaffär.

Åke Persson’s son bought the car but didn’t have the time to use it at that time and let it rest for some years. He inherited the dealership and when he sold it in 2006 there was finally some time to use the car.

When the car was deeply examined, it turned out to be in a very good condition, only the rain gutters in the rear fenders were renewed. Otherwise there was no corrosion at all and the chassie was like new. Probably because the car got a rust protection immediately when new, which was renewed the following years as well.

The car had got some parking dents and scratches by the first owner, so it was decided to get a repaint of the body. The roof still has the original paint, which is Rouge Massena,AC 423.

The interior is original. The seats got recently new foam onto the inside of the original fabric. A very expensive work, but very well worth it, since the fabric is in a fantastic condition, but the foam had disintegrated by time.

The rest of the interior is in a very good original condition as well.

The engine was restored at the same time and the sodium filled valves were exchanged to non sodium valves to avoid any risk of damage since they are vulnerable.

The engine is incredibly smooth and quiet, probably the best DS engine we have ever had the pleasure to enjoy.

The hydraulic system works without any issues and all other mechanics work flawless.

With the car comes a maintenance book and some other documentation as well. In June 2020 the car passed its last technical control in Sweden. No more technical control is needed in Sweden, when the car is 50 years or older.

Driving this DS feels like sitting in a time machine/like driving a new DS. You are welcome for a test drive to experience it yourself.

We are located in south Sweden, just outside of Malmö, which means there are normally a lot of options to fly to Copenhagen airport in Denmark, and from there it is just a short train ride to VLD Autos. We will of course pick you up at a nearby train station.
